Avianca becomes the official airline of La Vuelta 24

Avianca has become the official airline of La Vuelta 24 to support the peloton during the 21 stages of its 79th edition. This year's race will start on August 17 in Portugal and end on September 8 in Madrid. The leading airline in Colombia, Ecuador and Central America has a network of five direct routes which connect Spain (Madrid and Barcelona) to various destinations in Colombia (Bogotá, Cali and Medellín) and San Salvador.

“At Avianca we believe in the extraordinary, and today we are proud to announce that we have become the official airline of La Vuelta 24. Our aim of continuing to strengthen connectivity and access between Latin America and Spain goes far beyond the 46 weekly flights that link the two continents. We are constantly looking for ways in which we can support the passions that unite us as Ibero-America, and on this occasion, it is sport,” said Ana María Copete, Avianca's Director of Business Development.

“If there is one thing that identifies Avianca with La Vuelta, it is their speciality in connecting places. In this case, Avianca connects Spain to Latin America, a region that has always been a passionate supporter of La Vuelta, has produced great cyclists and has always shown its warm affection for us. This alliance is very important to us, as it allows us to continue to strengthen this very special bond,” explained Javier Guillén, race director of La Vuelta.
