Wout van Aert (Visma-Lease a Bike): “I was well positioned towards the front but I dropped my chain after a corner and I wasn’t able to get it back on while riding so I had to make a quick stop. It was not really a good moment because I found myself at the back of the peloton at a moment when a lot of guys were starting to drop. It was a chase for nothing because in the end I lost so much energy I couldn’t help the team anymore.”
