It will happen on the 11th day, Andorra la Vella – Cortals d'Encamp. Stage 16, Luarca – Ermita de Alba, due to the accumulated incline, may also end up being a decisive one. The first one includes a Special Category climb, four 1st Category climbs and one 2nd Category climb. The second will consist of seven mountain passes, three of them 3rd Category climbs, two 2nd Category climbs, one 1st Category climb and one Special Category Climb. In the Andorran stage, the slope will be 4,800 metres long, but in the second Asturian stage, the peloton will have to face a climb of 5,100 metres.
