Monzón, the capital of Cinca Medio, stands out for its Templar castle, built by the Muslims and later turned into the headquarters for the Templars of Aragon, where James I studied. Today, it houses a Templar Interpretation Centre. The city was also home to Joaquín Costa, a central figure in Regenerationism, a politician and pioneer in Spain’s social sciences, whose family home has been turned into a museum. Highlights among its monuments include the Co-cathedral of Santa María (or Saint Mary) and the Casa Pano. Monzón offers natural routes that can be enjoyed on mountain bikes.
