Valladolid hosted La Vuelta’s first ever finish-line on the 29th of April 1935. That very first stage left from Madrid and arrived in the city of Pisuerga, with a victory by Belgian rider Antoine Dignef over Mariano Cañardo. Since then, Valladolid has hosted another 35 La Vuelta finish-lines, 9 of those for time trials. It will now do so again, two years after the last time in 2023.
