Santander will, yet again, host a La Vuelta finish-line more than 20 years since it last did so and one decade after it last hosted a stage departure. The Magdalena Palace, one of its architectural icons, stands above the Santander skyline with views over the Cantabrian Sea. It will witness the peloton’s arrival in Santander during a stage held entirely within Cantabria.
